With over 1.5 billion monthly users, WhatsApp is one of the world’s largest messaging app. 100 million voice calls are made daily on WhatsApp. The Facebook-owned company is introducing frequent changes recently. The company has introduced vacation mode, business App, group features and a lot more.
In a recent update for WhatsApp beta on Android (version 2.19.106), the company has added a new option in the app that restricts the users from taking screenshots.
WhatsApp authentication feature is used to secure the app with fingerprints so no one else can see your conversation. With the new update, users will not be able to take screenshots of the conversations.
When the Authentication feature will be available and you enable it, conversation screenshots are blocked (for you) 😢
What do you think? I don’t like the idea and I don’t see the point.
If I authenticate my identity using my fingerprint, why conversation screenshots are blocked? https://t.co/wVFWyx2Ibb— WABetaInfo (@WABetaInfo) April 15, 2019
