‘Dark Mode’, a new feature expected in the Facebook-owned messaging platform, WhatsApp is most likely to provide relief to the eyes. The news was still rumoured for a while but is now confirmed by WABetaInfo that the feature is under development. Most likely, it will be available to all WhatsApp users, launching this moth or maybe in early coming year.
I receive a lot of questions about the Dark Mode..
It’s still under development and there is no news now, be patient please.
When there is news on iOS and Android, you will obviously receive more info from me, don’t worry. 😊— WABetaInfo (@WABetaInfo) November 30, 2018
As the name suggests, Dark Mode reverses the white background to black which is more soothing to eyes. Battery life is also effected positively by using this mode.
Also, WhatsApp beta for Android 2.19.1: WhatsApp is working on a new redesigned section to send audio files to contacts. It supports audio preview and image preview of the audio file (if available). Max 30 audio messages at a time.
