It’s official now. WhatsApp will stop working on iPhones running on iOS 9.
WABetaInfo, a Twitter account and a website that keeps a close eye on the latest WhatsApp developments and upcoming features says that Whatsapp will stop providing support for iPhones running iOS 9. The decision comes with the arrival of version 2.21.50.11. Currently, the new version is in beta testing.
This means Whatsapp will stop working for the following iPhones.

WhatsApp also recently rolled out Desktop audio and video calling. It is revealed that the users will be able to use desktop screens for calls in landscape and portrait mode. All calls will be end-to-end encrypted.
