Elon Musk, founder, CEO of SpaceX, Tesla is one of the innovative entrepreneurs of our time. He is young, energetic and is known to take risks in his business. He has openly warned about the dangers of AI, wants to give free WIFI to the world and also aims to produce a neuralink product to connect with the brain to make anyone a superhuman.
As a CEO of Tesla, he promotes his electric cars often on his twitter. In a tweet on 8 May 2019, Elon Musk wrote:
Weird that people still buy gas cars when so many good electric options (beyond Tesla) are available – Elon Musk
As a response, he is trolled by people, more because of their love for gas cars as they can afford it over a pricy electric car. Here are the replies to his tweet.
Start showing some interest in #Gigafactory2 in #Buffalo. You would revitalize the entire area and make upstate NY relevant again. I’d even help you!

Big facts, once those used model 3s hit $10k I’ll pick one up

Pretty much on par with my ‘92 Corolla.
— Captain_Pickleshanks (@pickleshanks) May 8, 2019
I can buy a $4k gas car but not a $30k electric one

Not weird that people want to haul 12,000 lbs of steel beams with Dodge Rams, 2019s motor trend truck of the year & the most fuel efficient truck in America.

— Michal (@eruveo) May 9, 2019
Now that’s genius. Actually shows how much you have saved in gas prices!
— Jlipper (@OfficialJlipper) May 8, 2019
And see the gas price total rolling back as you charge…
— Rob (@Donatweetme) May 8, 2019
This is the problem. Tesla set the bar too high for the market. 🙁
— Evan Coury (@EvanDotPro) May 8, 2019
Or in many cases EVs just aren’t feasible. For me having to stop every 400-500km for half an hour or longer to charge is a major inconvenience when our diesel gets 1100km on a tank and takes 5 minutes to fill up. And in Europe the infrastructure is not even close to being good.

I wouldn’t say many, i would say fringe cases. If you are travelling that far in one go you are definitely the minory. But those sorts of ranges will come… I hope.

I really genuinely dig electric cars, but as a fellow car enthusiast surely you must understand some of us want to enjoy the last bastion of great combustion engined cars before everything switches over. It will, and you will be just fine!

Cuz we’re not rich.
— Larry (@eyesthroughmy50) May 8, 2019
we’re poor Elon
— klove (@kevinlove_) May 8, 2019
but, to be fair, tesla still made the all-time coolest electric car. pic.twitter.com/kiGgalpvfI

If you don’t buy Tesla you are disrespecting the lord
— Thiago’sAction TV 🌐 (@ThiagosActionTV) May 8, 2019
The biggest hurdle is the upfront cost of purchasing an electric vehicle. There’s not really a large used market for them, and even the cheapest 2019 EV is still 24k. I can buy a used gas car for 5 to 10k
— That Guy With A Voice (@ThatGuyWAV) May 8, 2019
Not in India. Its a large market with no proper backing for EV

If you don’t have the income and live in an apartment complex, it’s impossible.
Average people can’t afford it, obviously.
