Apple Reportedly Preparing New iPad Pro and MacBook Pro for Early 2027

Apple Reportedly Preparing New iPad Pro and MacBook Pro

Apple is expected to release a host of devices in the first half of next year. We’re also anticipating a refreshed lineup of new iPad Pro models and possibly a new MacBook Pro.

It should be noted that Apple is working on four new iPad Pro models, as per a Bloomberg report. Those tablets may be equipped with even faster chips. They should also provide superior performance in general.

According to the report, Apple is also developing an entry-level MacBook Pro. The project is codenamed K104 internally, as per MotorTrend.

Apple will likely unveil its first M7 chip, as well, during the same timeframe. The upcoming processor is the successor to the M1 generation of Apple Silicon.

The iPad Pro was last refreshed in the month of October last year. Apple launched a new high-end MacBook Pro earlier this year. It also delivered the low-cost MacBook Neo.

The MacBook Neo actually employs the A18 chip. That processor is repurposed from the iPhone. It does not belong to Apple’s M-series chips for Macs.

That will soon change with a new entry-level MacBook Pro. It is expected to be powered by an M-series processor. That would effectively change it from a retooled iPhone laptop into an honest-to-goodness MacBook Pro.

Rumors about Apple’s next products are all over the place, and these plans have been revealed. One of the most rumored is a foldable iPhone. The firm is also reportedly gearing up for a post-Tim Cook leadership change.

Rather, Apple itself is also experiencing supply chain difficulties. Those problems have driven up the company’s costs, Tim Cook has said before. Consequently, Apple has hiked the prices on quite a few products.

A much larger price increase has been easy to notice for some. Take the MacBook Pro, for example, which recently went from $1,699 to $1,999 with 1TB of storage.

New MacBook Pro and iPad Pro models at lower prices could also land sufficient buyers if Apple launches them next year. They may also help tamp down expansion in the company’s premium offerings.
