The o1 model from OpenAI is used in the Think Deeper function. In October 2024, Copilot launched the Voice function, which allows users to have conversations with the AI helper. Microsoft affirmed that Copilot Pro customers will continue to enjoy exclusive benefits in spite of this expanded access. During peak times, these paying clients will still get first dibs on the business’s most advanced AI models.
Furthermore, Pro members are the only ones with access to new capabilities that are still in progress. Even when fundamental functionality gets more broadly available, Microsoft is able to preserve the distinction among paid and free services by using a tiered strategy that balances improved accessibility with benefits for paid memberships.
