Ever noticed how every cartoon your kids watch is dubbed, translated, or borrowed from some studio thousands of miles away? Tom and Jerry, Doraemon, Ben 10, and Shinchan. Great shows. Not one of them was made for Pakistani kids, though.
They were made somewhere else, for someone else, and just happened to land on our screens too.
That’s changing now. Innovista just launched Innotoons.
What is Innotoons?
Innotoons is the official cartoon series from Innovista. You’ve probably come across their name before through LearnEasy, InnoTalent, or InnoCollab—platforms built to help Pakistani youth pick up new skills, land freelance work, and start their own ventures.
Kids’ entertainment wasn’t really on anyone’s radar at Innovista until now.
The announcement went out on Innovista’s official pages, showing off a batch of new characters built around AI-powered animation. And Innotoons already has its videos up on YouTube. Worth a watch if you’re curious what it looks like.
Small move on paper. But think about it. A company that’s spent years on career platforms and startup tools just decided to make cartoons for kids. That’s not a random pivot. CEO of Innovista, Hisham Sarwar, noticed nobody was doing this properly in Pakistan and figured they might as well try.
Why This Actually Matters
Kids in Pakistan have grown up on cartoons that came from somewhere else. Dubbed. Translated. Dropped onto local channels with barely any adjustment.
Fun, sure. Never quite theirs, though.
Nothing wrong with the shows themselves. They’ve entertained generations here and probably will keep doing so. But where’s the cartoon that gets our humor? Our culture? Our everyday stories?
That question has gone unanswered for decades. Pakistan makes strong dramas. Solid films too. But animation for kids has stayed almost empty.
A few attempts came and went over the years. Usually limited by budget, or time, or just how much traditional animation demands from a small team. That’s the gap Innotoons is stepping into—and it’s doing it with AI at the core, not as a marketing gimmick.
What Kind of Content Does Innotoons Actually Show?
Here’s the part that makes Innotoons different from a regular cartoon show—it’s not just for entertainment. The content is built to teach kids about the world of technology while they’re having fun watching it.
Some of what you can expect from the series:
- AI made simple for kids—breaking down what artificial intelligence actually is in a way a child can understand and enjoy, instead of a dry, technical explanation.
- Technology basics woven into stories — characters and episodes built around everyday tech concepts, so kids pick things up naturally through the story instead of feeling like they’re sitting through a lesson.
- Introduction to the latest AI tools — episodes that touch on the tools shaping today’s world, giving kids an early, age-appropriate look at things they’ll keep hearing about as they grow up.
- Curiosity over memorization—the goal isn’t to turn kids into engineers overnight; it’s to get them comfortable and curious about technology instead of intimidated by it.
This is really what sets Innotoons apart. Most cartoons exist purely to entertain. Innotoons entertains too, but it’s also quietly preparing kids for a world where AI and technology aren’t optional knowledge anymore—they’re basic literacy.
How AI Changes the Game Here
Making cartoons the old way is slow. Expensive too. Usually means outsourcing abroad or hiring animation teams most local companies can’t afford.
AI flips that.
-
Faster Turnaround
New episodes don’t take months anymore. What used to need a full studio and a year-long schedule can now move much quicker, so kids get fresh content more often instead of waiting a whole season.
-
Consistent Quality
Traditional animation often changes look depending on which artist worked on it or what got cut when budgets tightened. AI-assisted production keeps things steadier across the whole library.
-
Local-First Stories
Since it’s all built in-house, Innotoons has room to shape characters and humor around Pakistani culture and everyday life. A dubbed foreign show can’t do that no matter how good the translation is.
-
Content Parents Can Trust
This wasn’t made somewhere else and adjusted for our market later. It was built around what local parents actually want their kids watching—safe, wholesome, not preachy, and not boring.
Worth saying though: AI isn’t doing everything on its own. There’s still a creative team behind Innotoons shaping stories and characters. AI just lets them move faster without needing a massive studio behind them.
Filling a Gap Nobody Else Was Filling
Pakistan has never had a strong local cartoon industry. That’s just true. Not because of a lack of talent — mostly because animation costs money and time, and importing content was always the cheaper option.
Kids here have grown up on shows from India, the US, Japan, and Korea. Innotoons is one of the first real attempts to flip that and prove it can be done locally and done well.
It fits the pattern Innovista’s already set. LearnEasy handled skills. Freelance Hero Pakistan handled freelance work. InnoCollab handled startups. InnoTalent handled hiring. Each one solved something nobody else was solving properly.
Innotoons follows the same logic, aimed at a completely different audience — children’s media, an industry the local tech scene has mostly ignored until now.
What It Means for Parents and Kids
For parents, it’s honestly a relief. There’s always been a slight disconnect watching foreign cartoons with your kids—jokes that need explaining, references that don’t quite land, and a world on screen that doesn’t look anything like the one outside the window.
Innotoons skips that disconnect entirely. Nothing here needs translating because it wasn’t made somewhere else first.
For kids, it means new characters worth getting attached to. New stories instead of reruns they’ve already seen a hundred times. Cartoons that feel a little closer to home.
Whether Innotoons becomes the next big thing or just a solid addition to what’s already out there, it’s doing something worth noticing: trying.
If this momentum holds, Innotoons could become something today’s kids actually grow up with. Except this time, it’ll be a channel that reflects them instead of just entertaining them.
