WhatsApp to Enable Custom Messages with Forwarded Content.

WhatsApp is preparing to launch a new option that lets users include personalized notes when passing along text, photos, links, or documents. This enhancement makes sharing easier by enabling users to directly provide additional details or explanations with the shared material.

At present, forwarding media like pictures, videos, or files requires sending a separate note afterwards to clarify or add context. The upcoming feature will simplify this by letting users attach their message during the forwarding process itself, removing the need for extra steps.

As highlighted by WABetaInfo, this functionality is being trialled among select users on the Android beta version 2.24.25.3. It supports text, files, images, videos, and URLs, offering more versatility in how information is shared. Users can also choose to modify or remove existing captions and replace them with their messages.

Some beta testers have already started experimenting with this option, which has been showcased in early previews. Interestingly, the capability extends beyond forwarded content, allowing users to send original material with an attached custom note as well.

Coming week, this feature will be made available to all users. Also, WhatsApp has added a new tool that allows users to convert audio messages into text, adding even more convenience.

These developments reflect WhatsApp’s commitment to refining its platform and making interactions more straightforward for its global community.
