The Canadian government has announced big relief for visit visa holders. They have extended the deadline for job offers to apply for work permits without leaving the country.
Applicants who have held a work permit within the last 12 months can also request to start working sooner under the new policy.
A policy that was due to expire on 28 February 2022 will now last until 28 February 2025.
Foreign nationals who are in Canada as visitors and who receive a valid job offer will continue to be able to apply for, and receive, a work permit without having to leave the country until February 28th, 2025.

Eligibility:
The applicants must fulfill the criteria in order to apply for the job:
- Candidates must have an authorized Canada visitor status before applying for a permit.
- It is necessary to have a valid employment offer according to the Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) or even an offer letter that is exempt from the LMIA.
- Applicants must submit their employer-specific work permit applications by the deadline mentioned above.
- The rest of the requirements must be met.
