5 Advice I Want to Give a Newbie Writer

5 Advices For a Newbie Writer

Over the previous 2.5 years, I have been writing on the Internet. Over the years, I’ve tried different platforms and got people’s attention on every platform.

I’m going to share with you five things that beginners in writing should know today.

Want a Free Website

1. Start posting

You want to start writing on Medium or Twitter, and after a month, you’re in the same situation where you want to start writing. It’s not about thinking and dreaming. It’s about taking your first step.

You have to post your first draft. It will take courage to put yourself out there, but once you start posting, you’ll feel more confident. I highly recommend posting your first tweet or blog without considering the outcome.

2. Build consistency

Now that you’ve posted your first tweet, half of the battle is done. For the remainder of the fight, consistency is key. You’ve developed consistency on the platform, and I’ve discussed consistency in a number of my blog posts.

You must avoid ghosting your audience in the beginning.

3. Don’t chase perfection

I always say this perfection doesn’t exist. You become more worried the more you strive for perfection.

Instead, write, post, engage, and repeat. Your first tweet won’t be perfect. Your 255th tweet won’t be perfect either. However, it will surpass your initial attempt.

That all matters.

4. Use tools

If you’re a newbie, I suggest you use writing tools. Most writers use tools such as Hemingway Editor and Grammarly. These tools improve the clarity and precision of your writing.

People don’t like to see a paragraph full of errors, so edit your draft well and use tools to refine your writing.

5. Engage

This one is important. Most people complain that nobody notices their posts and engages with them. Here’s the tip, therefore, if you want others to see you interacting with them: When you interact with people, most of them notice.

In this way, you establish a professional rapport with the individual and foster a sense of mutual growth and support.

So this is my advice if you are thinking of pursuing writing on the Internet.
