CM Punjab Launches Rs. 25 Billion Scholarship Program

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif extended her congratulations to the top achievers from Punjab’s educational boards, as well as their parents and teachers, applauding their remarkable achievements despite limited facilities, resources, and supportive environments.

At an awards ceremony, she expressed her pleasure, noting, “We are thrilled to see that among the 138 position holders across nine boards in Punjab, 70 are girls and 68 are boys.”

She emphasized the government’s dedication to improving education quality in public schools. “Beginning September 5, we will launch a new meal program in schools, providing milk packs to students from nursery through fifth grade to tackle nutritional deficiencies. The pilot phase of this program will start in South Punjab,” she announced.

Additionally, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz introduced a scholarship initiative valued at Rs25 billion, designed to support talented students in pursuing higher education at esteemed institutions such as LUMS, Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute, IBA, COMSATS, FAST, and other top universities.
