Meta has quietly released a new app called Pocket. The app lets users create small interactive games and apps by simply typing AI prompts.
Pocket is built around AI-powered creation. Users can generate interactive experiences in seconds without writing code.
The app comes from Meta’s acquisition of the team behind Gizmo, a vibe-coded gaming platform it bought earlier this year. Pocket describes itself as “a creative platform for making and sharing gizmos.” In the app, “gizmos” are AI-generated interactive games and experiences.
Pocket also includes a discovery feed. Users can scroll through creations shared by others and try them instantly.
The new app looks very similar to the original Gizmo platform. Screenshots on Google Play show nearly the same interface and features.
Like Pocket, Gizmo allows users to build simple interactive experiences using text prompts. It also offers a feed where people can browse and play community-made creations. The original Gizmo app is still available in app stores.
The launch was first spotted by app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi, who regularly uncovers upcoming apps and features. He shared a screenshot of Pocket’s Google Play listing on X earlier today.
However, data from app intelligence firm Appfigures shows Pocket actually became available on both the App Store and Google Play on June 29, 2026.
Because the app is so new, Appfigures said it does not yet have download estimates.
Several other publications, including Business Insider and Investing.com, also reported on the discovery. Meta has not commented on the launch.

Pocket is the latest example of Meta’s growing investment in AI creation tools.
The company has been expanding its AI products over the past year. It previously introduced AI image generation through the Meta AI app. It also launched an AI video creation app called Vibes.
Meta has also added AI features across its social platforms. More recently, it brought AI-powered tools to Edits, its video editing app for creators.

Since Meta has not officially announced Pocket, the app appears to be in an early testing phase. The company may still be evaluating user interest before a wider rollout.
Meanwhile, Gizmo has already shown strong traction. According to Appfigures, the app has reached about 635,000 lifetime installs across iOS and Google Play.
The analytics firm also reported that Gizmo has received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with a 98% positive user sentiment score.
